Synthetic Polymer Indirect

All Indirect System Photographic Films consist of a light-sensitive emulsion affixed to a transparent base or backing sheet, with special adhesives. Indirect Films are exposed, developed (except synthetic polymer films), washed out and then adhered to a screen.

Indirect films offer superior fine detail reproduction; sharp printing edges; uniform stencil thickness; predictable standardized exposures; close control of stencil thickness, hence ink deposit; fast and simple stencil production; and easy stencil removal for efficient mesh recovery. The topcoat on Ulano Indirect Films prevents tackiness underconditions of heat and high humidity.

Pulsar - Control your EOM with exposure and no chemical development

Product Fact Sheet Technical Data Sheet MSDS

Pulsar is an innovative stencil system offering the industry's easiest, fastest method of making photographic stencils for solvent inks and mesh counts above 230/inch (90/cm.).

Reclaims easily with modern stencil removers like Ulano No. 4 Stencil Remover Liquid or Ulano No. 5 Stencil Remover Paste.

Pulsar (Synthetic) Indirect Film Processing Instructions

ADHERE PULSAR TO THE MESH
Place the washed out stencil, emulsion side up, on a hard, raised, flat surface.

Lower the screen, wet from the preparation rinse, onto the Pulsar.

Place a sheet of newsprint (unprinted newspaper stock) on the squeegee side of the screen and, with a roller, apply very firm pressure to blot the film into the mesh.

Remove the sheet of wet newsprint, replace it with a dry sheet, and blot again.

Repeat this several times, or until the newsprint begins to stick to the stencil. Firm blotting assures good adhesion. (For those accustomed to gelatin-based indirect films, note that Pulsar is blotted with a single sheet of newsprint rather than a pad; blotting should be done with firm, not gentle, pressure.)

Ulanolux® UP3 - Discontinued December 2007

Light green synthetic diazo-sensitized emulsion coated on 3-mil optically clear polyester. Improves on traditional gelatin/iron salt indirect films because it doesn't require chemical developing or skin temperature water washout. Fast exposing. Excellent adhesion to polyester and all other mesh. Wide exposure latitude. Can be exposed, washed out (in room temperature or cooler water), and dried for adhering later.

Not recommended for use with aggressive solvent inks. Reclaims easily with modern stencil removers like Ulano No. 4 Stencil Remover Liquid or Ulano No. 5 Stencil Remover Paste

Resolution: 100 - 125 microns (4 - 5 mils)
