ALL MESH PREP NO. 25

A ready-to-use liquid mordant that promotes mesh water retention and, thus, the uniform adhesion of all Direct Films.

All Mesh Prep is especially helpful for use with thin CDF® Direct Films applied to fine mesh, which inherently holds little water. All Mesh Prep No. 25 rinses easily from the screen with hot or cold water. Non-caustic - will not harm frames, mesh, or adhesives on stretch and glue frames. Recommended for use with all CDF® Direct Films. Do not use on natural silk.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Apply All Mesh Prep No. 25 only after the mesh has been thoroughly degreased and immediately before adhering the Direct Film.
  2. Rinse both sides of the screen thoroughly with water.
  3. Apply All Mesh Prep No. 25 with a medium-stiff, long bristle nylon brush to both sides of the screen.
  4. Let the screen stand for one or two minutes.
  5. Rinse the screen thoroughly from both sides with hot or cold water.
  6. All Mesh Prep No. 25 should be used no more than one hour before adhering the film. If you do not proceed immediately to adhere the Direct Film, re-wet the screen just before adhering the film.

All Mesh Prep No. 25 contains a mild acid and may be irritating over a prolonged period of time if it comes in contact with the skin or eyes.

First Aid: In case of contact with the eyes or skin, flush immediately with water for 15 minutes and contact a physician.

MAGIC MESH PREP (PATENT PENDING)

COMBINED LIQUID SCREEN DEGREASER, WETTING AGENT, AND ANTISTATIC TREATMENT
Magic Mesh Prep is a ready-to-use liquid combining the properties of mesh degreaser, wetting agent, and anti-static treatment. Magic Mesh Prep improves the flow characteristics of liquids, facilitating more uniform coating of direct emulsions and the easier transfer of ink during printing, thereby improving printed image quality.

MagicMeshPrepWaterDropLow.200w.jpg

The improved wetting of mesh also promotes the adhesion of indirect and CDF® Direct-Film (capillary system film), and improves the durability of all stencil systems, for longer printing runs. The antistatic properties of Magic Mesh Prep reduce the whiskering and feathering of ink when printing under low humidity conditions.

INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1:Apply Magic Mesh Prep uniformly with a brush on both sides of the mesh just before stencil making.

Step 2: RINSE THE SCREEN THROUGHLY WITH WATER
Rinse the screen with tap water from both sides until any foam disappears and the rinse water forms a uniform, sleek "film" of water on the mesh. Apply indirect or capillary system films immediately after the rinse, while the screen is still wet. The screen should be allowed to dry in a dust-free environment before coating direct emulsions or applying direct/indirect system stencils.

CAUTION - Wear gloves, goggles, and a protective apron when using Magic Mesh Prep.

SCREEN DEGREASER LIQUID NO. 3

No3DegreaserLiquid.150h.jpg

A degreaser solution that removes dirt, dust and oils from all meshs, new and used.

Degreasing should be considered a first step in stencil-making, as it greatly reduces the risk of stencil-making failure, extends on-press stencil longevity, and alleviates pinholing. Screen Degreaser Liquid No. 3 is ready-to-use--no mixing. Degreases effectively in hard water. Rinses clean with hot or cold water. Non-caustic--will not harm frames, mesh, or adhesives on stretch and glue frames. Reccomended for use with all Ulano stencil systems.

SCREEN DEGREASER CONCENTRATE NO. 33 1:10

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. If using Screen Degreaser Concentrate No. 33, mix ten parts water to one part Ulano No. 33.
  2. Apply to a wet screen from both sides with a wet, soft, long-bristle nylon brush. Continue brushing until a light foam develops.
  3. Let the screen stand a few minutes until the foam subsides.
  4. Rinse the screen thoroughly from both sides. Including the inside edge of the frame and the frame corners, with hot or cold water.

TO SPEED STENCIL REMOVAL

After ink removal, spray both sides of the screen with water and apply Screen Degreaser Liquid No. 3 or Screen Degreaser Concentrate No. 33 as in degreasing (above). Rinse with tap water. Degreasing helps remove oily ink residues, washup solvents and makes the stencil more receptive to water-borne removal chemicals. To Speed Stencil Removal

Screen Degreaser Liquid No. 3 may be irritating upon prolonged contact with the skin or eyes. First Aid: In case of contact with the eyes or skin, flush immediately with water. If irritation develops, contact a physician.

ULANOGEL ABRASIVE DEGREASER GEL NO. 23

An abrasive degreaser gel that combines the actions of Microgrit No. 2 and Screen Degreaser Liquid No. 3.

The abrading action of Ulanogel 23 promotes better wetting of the mesh and adhesion of the stencil, and thus, longer press life. Its degreasing action removes dirt, dust, and oils from the mesh, reducing the risk of stencil failure and pinholing.

Ulanogel 23 is ready-to-use and rinses off in hot or cold water. Its thixotropic character permits easy and effective preparation of larger screens held in a vertical position. Non-caustic - will not harm frames, mesh, or adhesives on stretch and glue frames. Recommended for use with all stencil systems on synthetic mesh only.
